Kshitij joined J-PAL in June 2010 as a Research Associate and is presently based in Hyderabad. He is working on a study to evaluate the impact of Smartcards on government welfare programs in Andhra Pradesh, as well as a study on school-choice to evaluate the impact of vouchers on educational outcomes. Kshitij holds a Bachelors degree in Economics with honors from Grinnell College and has worked for two years at an economic consulting firm prior to joining J-PAL. He is interested in issues of corruption and the delivery of government services.
