Evidence on Youth Unemployment: Workshop for the Danish Labour Market Authority

Paris, France • 16 May 2012

In May 2012, J-PAL's regional office in Europe hosted twenty-nine representatives from the Danish Labour Market Authority at Sciences Po in Paris, where J-PAL affiliates presented the results of evaluations related to youth unemployment in France.

The workshop featured evidence from evaluations on public versus private employment counseling for job seekers, employment counseling for unemployed college graduates, and campaigns to increase the involvement of parents of middle-school children. This event provided an opportunity for French and Danish researchers, as well as policymakers specializing in this field, to develop a stronger relationship, and ultimately to propose a project within the framework of the European Commission's Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion program.
