H.Y. Gowramma

H.Y. Gowramma holds a Master’s Degree in Rural Development from the Centre for Rural Development Studies at Bangalore University. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of planning, executing upgrading of quality of data collection, social mapping, in-depth interviews, focus group discussion, conducting of village level meetings, and questionnaire design. She has worked on a number of projects including women, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribes’ participation in local governments, health and sericulture, poverty, bonded labor rehabilitation programs of Karnataka, and Microfinance, among others.

She is currently working as a Survey Operations Manager at J-PAL-South Asia. She is working on Dairy Cooperatives, Making the Dynamics of Social Learning Visible, Social Networks, Tamil Nadu Labour Market-firm level study, Evaluating the effectiveness of WIFS and school-based anaemia monitoring, Investing in Social Relationships, and Information Frictions.
