Clare joined J-PAL Africa as a policy analyst in March 2011. Having just completed a Masters dissertation looking at secondary and tertiary education in South Africa, Clare will also work on programs designed to improve the quality of education in South Africa. In line with this, her first duty as policy analyst was to travel to Ghana for 6 weeks to learn from education interventions underway in the West African nation. Before joining the J-PAL Africa team on a full-time basis, Clare completed a six week internship at the J-PAL's Global Office at M.I.T. in the summer of 2010.
