Seerat Kaur joined the J-PAL team in August 2011 as Policy and Training Associate. She holds a Masters degree in Quantitative Development Economics from University of Bristol, England. She brings to J-PAL a plethora of experiences from working in varied organizations like charities and autonomous research institutions. She has considerable experience on the policy side, which she gained while working in the Policy and Research arm of Greenpeace India. At J-PAL South Asia, she endeavors to make a sizable contribution by disseminating research and policy lessons to all the relevant actors. Her Master's dissertation analyzed the role of mother's education in determining immunization uptake in 15 Indian states. She also studied the role of variables like 'gender' and 'birth-order of child' in her analysis.
