Raissa joined J-PAL Africa in 2011, and was previously working for IPA, J-PAL’s partner organization, in Western Kenya where she oversaw the randomized evaluation of a fertilizer subsidy program.
Martin Abel joined J-PAL in August 2010 as Research Associate at the J-PAL Africa office in South Africa. His areas of interest include public health, education, and political economy.
Diana joined J-PAL as a research analyst in December 2011 after completing her Bachelor of Business Science in Management Studies (Economics specialization) degree at the University of Cape Town. She will be working on projects focusing on urban sanitation and hygiene.
Joanna joined J-PAL Africa as a research analyst in February 2012. She recently completed her B.Soc.Sci (Masters) in Economics at the University of Cape Town, with special interests in micro development and behavioural economics.
Caroline joined the J-PAL Africa office as a research analyst in January 2012 focusing on Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives and associated labour market outcomes. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Economics at the University of Cape Town in December 2011.
Sarah joined J-PAL in 2011 and is currently working on an evaluation of a financial education program for women in microfinance groups in South Africa.
Rose joined J-PAL Africa in February 2012 as a full time research intern working on health and education projects in South Africa. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce in Management Studies in December 2012.
