Zharna joined J-PAL in June 2011 as a Research Associate on the TB project where she works to assess the impact of a salary incentive scheme on community based TB health workers in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Zharna holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Yale University. While in school she worked for a breast cancer nonprofit in Argentina, the Egyptian National Human Rights Council and as an analyst with Goldman Sachs in New York. Prior to joining J-PAL, Zharna served as Political Director for a Congressional campaign in California’s 11th District.
