Lolita joined J-PAL Southeast Asia after completing her master's of international and development economics at the Australian National University (ANU). During her studies, she worked as a research assistant on the Head of Indonesia Project at ANU, and was involved in research on food security and health economics in Indonesia, and environment development in Asia.
Before working at J-PAL, she worked as an economist with the Central Bank of Indonesia for six years where she was involved in inflation and regional economics research. She also assisted the West Java inflation management team which consisted of local government offices. The team received an award as the best team by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for two years consecutively. She holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) where she graduated cum laude and was awarded the Ganesha Prize.
