Aqila Putri is a Research Associate at J-PAL Southeast Asia where she works on the development and management of randomized evaluations on performance improvement of tax offices across Indonesia.
Prior to assuming this position, Aqila was an intern at J-PAL Southeast Asia and assisted in the seasonal migration study.
Aqila holds a bachelor's degree with High Honors from Wesleyan University, where she double majored in economics and computer science as a Freeman Asian Scholar. During her time in college, she was a teaching assistant for statistics and data analysis classes, and worked as research assistant for a study on low-wage labor market in the USA. Aqila was a Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study scholar and has interned at American Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in New York City and served as an apprentice at Wesleyan University Quantitative Analysis Center's Summer Program.
