Lipika Kapoor is a Research Manager at J-PAL South Asia where she works on the Ultra-Rice project in Tamil Nadu, which aims to reduce anemia through food fortification at scale. Prior to joining J-PAL, she worked with IFMR LEAD on randomized control trial studies on worker sorting, work discipline and development, and other impact evaluation studies on sanitation, drinking water, and livelihood.
Lipika holds a master’s degree in economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. During her master’s degree, she spent one semester at Goettingen University, Germany specializing in development economics. She is also a Young India Fellow from Ashoka University. Additionally, during her undergraduate degree from Delhi University, Lipika cleared papers on actuarial science offered by the U.S. and U.K. societies of actuaries.
