Shaheen Madraswala is a Research Manager at J-PAL where she is currently working on the Incentives for Patients and Referrals for TB Treatment project. Prior to joining J-PAL in 2014, she worked at the Results for Development Institute (R4D) in Washington D.C. where she contributed to content development and analytics activities for the organization’s online database of non-state education innovations that bring quality education to the poor in low and middle income countries. Shaheen also held an internship at the UNICEF headquarters in New York City where she conducted research on emerging global trends and their implications on children’s welfare. Shaheen holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a specialization in International Political Economy from Mount Holyoke College. Her research interests include questions related to political economy and governance in developing countries.
