Niharika is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she works with the NRLM Targeting the Ultra Poor Project in Bihar. Prior to joining J-PAL, Niharika was a Young India Fellow at Ashoka University. As a fellow, she worked with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the capacity of a Research Intern under Saajha Abhiyaan Initiative of the Government of Rajasthan. The initiative aimed at devising state-wide mass mobilization strategies to stop the practice of child marriages in Rajasthan. She also interned with SEWA Bharat to evaluate the impact of an alternative livelihood opportunity on the socioeconomic status of female vendors in the markets of Delhi.
Niharika is a post-graduate in liberal studies from Ashoka University. She also holds a BA (honours) in economics from the University of Delhi.
