Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia

Archi is currently working as a Research Associate for the Safe drinking water and Child heath project and is based at Bhubaneswar.

She has previously worked at J-PAL South Asia as a Research Support Assistant in the rural regions of Bihar and Haryana and has stellar experience in field management and the data work. She has done compilation, analysis and visualization of the female labor force participation data in India. She has also worked with the policy team as a policy intern.

Archi has done her Bachelors in Economics from Maitreyi College, University of Delhi. She is a Harvard Delegate. She has done a Fellowship which is supported by UN Women , UCL , University of Cambridge, etc. She has also been a cohort scholar at the Centre for Civil Society’s Policy camp. She has been an invited judge at various international debate competitions including Oxford, Manchester, Ministry of Education Singapore , Trinity , Durham , etc. She has also worked as a research intern under the delegates representing India at G-20 Youth Summit Indonesia.

Her interest in policy-making is evident through her publications. She has published a research paper titled, “Covid-19 and its economic toll on women informal workers in India- Story behind the numbers” in the International Journal of Policy Sciences and Law.
