Colley Windya is currently working as a Research Associate with J-PAL Southeast Asia. He is responsible for implementation of the school-based smoking prevention project in Yogyakarta. Before joining J-PAL Southeast Asia, Colley worked in some government institutions including Indonesia's Ministry of National Planning as a Junior Expert and was responsible for the monitoring of government development project. He also worked at the New Zealand Trade Enterprise as an Assistant Business Development Manager and was in charge in conducting engagement events to support stronger economic cooperation between Indonesia and New Zealand.
Since college, he has been interested in health issues and chose to focus on them during his undergraduate studies. He earned his bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Indonesia. He was a teaching assistant in some policy classes in the department and developed an interest in policy analysis and political economy issues.
