Vipin Awatramani manages various research projects with partners such as Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Gujarat Energy Development Agency, Rajasthan Police, and Pradan. Among the projects that he oversees are Monitoring of Industrial Pollution, Detailed Energy Audit Program, Voter behavior and NREGA, Drunken Driving and Accidental Rates, and Mother Literacy program. In addition to managing the broader research portfolio, Vipin also manages a team of Research Associates working on these projects.
Vipin completed his Masters degree in Public Policy and Management as an International Ford Fellow from H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management, Carnegie Mellon University. He worked as a Research and Evaluation Intern at Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation. Before joining the Masters program at CMU, he worked as a Program In charge for Seva Mandir, where he helped implement and monitor an intervention aimed at strengthening grassroots governance through development and promotion of village institutions. He was awarded Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program in 2007. Vipin’s second Masters is in Human Resource Management.
