Our affiliated professors are based at over 130 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

The Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE) is a private, non-profit research center that aims to conduct applied research to stimulate and enrich the debate, design and implementation of public policies. Since its founding in 1980 in Lima, Peru, GRADE has studied economic, educational, environmental and social topics, in areas relevant to the development of Peru and other Latin American countries.
