Manaswini Rao

Manaswini Rao joined J-PAL South Asia in August 2010 and is currently working as a Senior Research Manager based out of Bangalore. She manages three projects ranging different themes including health, governance, social networks and micro-finance. She is also one of the Principal Investigators on a project that explores the incentive structure in dairy cooperatives for good quality milk production. Manaswini completed her Master’s program in Public Policy from Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California at Berkeley in May 2010. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. Prior to J-PAL, she worked with the Asian Development Bank as a consultant for 6 months on evaluation of trade investments in Eastern South Asia. She has also worked on urban governance issues including management of urban electoral rolls with Janaagraha - a non-profit organization based in Bangalore, India.
