Adrien Pawlik
Associate Director of Research and Operations, J-PAL Europe
Adrien works at J-PAL Europe as the Director of the Innovations, Data, and Experiments in Education (IDEE) programme. He also serves as the Associate Director for Research and Operations.
IDEE is an eight-year initiative funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). The program aims to support the development of large-scale experimental research in education in France and to foster greater use of its findings by policymakers.
Adrien is an economist with over a dozen years of experience evaluating the impact of public policies and development projects. Before joining J-PAL Europe in 2020, he worked in India with J-PAL SA/LEAD at the Chennai-based Behavioral Development Lab, focusing primarily on mental health and behavioral economics. He also worked on several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in West Africa, based mainly with IPA Francophone West Africa in Burkina Faso.
He holds a master's degree in development economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
