Nina Buchmann is an Assistant Professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on gender inequalities in the household and the labor market, particularly in low-income countries.
Nina is also a research affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and the Institute of Labor Economics. Prior to joining UC Berkeley, Nina was a postdoctoral associate at the Research Program in Development Economics at Princeton University, and a postdoctoral research associate at the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics at Yale University. She is a recipient of the Daniel Cohen Award and was a participant in the REStud and China Star tours in 2024.
Nina received her PhD in economics from Stanford in 2024.
