Sara Fisher Ellison

Sara Fisher Ellison is a Senior Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Much of her research focuses on industrial organization (IO), with a particular interest in e-commerce and digitization and the economics of the pharmaceutical industry.  

Recent research includes a large-scale RCT evaluating programs to identify and nurture students with high-level math talent in the Tamil Nadu public school system. Sara also serves as faculty lead of the Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) MicroMasters and Master's programs and as one of two faculty leads for the Alliance for Data, Evaluation, and Policy Training (ADEPT).

She currently serves on the editorial board of a number of industrial organization journals.
