Jean Marie Blaise Migabo

Blaise Migabo is a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL Africa, where he supports efforts to expand access to safe drinking water through evidence-based health interventions. He works with J-PAL Africa’s Health team, researchers, and government partners to adapt, pilot, and support the implementation of approaches that integrate chlorine-based water treatment into maternal and child health services, beginning with the Scaling Access to Safe Water in Africa initiative in Guinea.
Before joining J-PAL, Blaise worked as a Program Associate at the Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) in Nigeria, supporting health programs across six African countries. His work focused on health systems strengthening, immunization, family planning, policy engagement, and evidence use. He previously contributed to program implementation, health systems diagnostics, research, advocacy, and strategic communications in Burundi.
Blaise holds an MPH from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom and an MD from the University of Burundi.
