Laïla Souali
Coordinator, J-PAL Europe
Laïla Souali is a Coordinator at J-PAL Europe, where she works on several research projects evaluating education programs and their impact on social inequalities. She is PhD Student and supervised by Prof. Marc Gurgand and Prof. Elise Huillery.
Before starting her PhD, Laïla was a project manager on education policy evaluation projects. Prior to joining J-PAL in 2022, she worked as a research assistant at the Institut des Politiques Publiques (IPP), as well as for the Laboratory for Effective Anti-poverty Policies (LEAP) in Conakry, Guinea on a randomized controlled experiment on informing risky migration.
Laïla holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Development from the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and is fluent in French and English.
