Namitha Sadanand
Policy & Training Lead, J-PAL South Asia
Namitha Sadanand is a Lead at J-PAL South Asia, where she leads two portfolios: Evidence for Economic Growth and Strategic Initiatives. As a member of the Policy and Training group, she works with government, philanthropic, and non-government partners to study and scale policies targeting employment, firm growth, and worker welfare. She also leads efforts to systematically study new questions and identify promising interventions within themes that cut across J-PAL's 11 sectors, including an initiative that funds research on social connections.
Prior to her current role, Namitha established research partnerships and helped governments scale tested ideas in the sectors of Education and Health. She has spent nine years at J-PAL.
Namitha holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Economics from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi.
