Tripta Behera

Tripta Behera is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she works on the Gender Sensitive Policing project in Punjab, applying causal inference methods to mainstream the Punjab Police Mahila Mitra (PPMM) program.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2026, she was a Young Professional with JEEViKA in Bihar, where she worked on the implementation and monitoring of Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana in the district of Buxar. She has also interned with the National Human Rights Commission and worked with IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute.

Tripta holds an MA in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a BA in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
