Farah Said is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where she also serves as the Executive Director of the Mahbub ul Haq Research Centre (MHRC). Her research interests include development economics, behavioral economics, and gender, with a focus on poverty and social dynamics in low- and middle-income countries.

Farah is an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Development and Economic Alternatives (IDEAS) and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). Prior to joining LUMS, Farah was an Assistant Professor at the Lahore School of Economics and a Stephan Klasen Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

Farah holds a PhD in economics from the Lahore School of Economics.
