Sachit Manoj Deshmukh

Sachit Deshmukh is a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL South Asia, based in Pune, where he works to accelerate the reach and impact of evidence-backed interventions in education and gender. As a member of the Policy, Training, and Communications team, he works on the Every Child Counts Scale Up and Gender Equity Curriculum Scale Up, building and managing partnerships across the implementation ecosystem and advancing thought leadership on scaling these interventions.

Sachit started his career in research and program operations at J-PAL South Asia in 2022, supporting data collection and field implementation of Every Child Counts. Over time, his role evolved to include stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and research for the scale-up of the program. Before joining J-PAL South Asia, he taught the Chinese language and developed informative digital resources for a parenting app.

Sachit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fergusson College (Autonomous), Pune.
