Join J-PAL North America as we connect state and local climate leaders, government associations, and academic researchers from across the country to advance evidence for climate action. During the July summit, J-PAL North America will host both new and long-standing partners, and we are excited to welcome jurisdiction representatives from our inaugural Climate Action Learning Lab cohort. Summit participants will discuss the ongoing, collective strategy for implementing randomized evaluations to effectively and equitably combat climate change in the years to come. Attendees will also reflect on the Learning Lab cohort model as a way to develop key new partnerships that can catalyze additional rigorous evaluations and build the evidence base in the climate space.

Throughout the day, convening participants will:

  • Hear from Climate Action Learning Lab cohort members on their jurisdictions’ priority research questions and strategic evaluation plans
  • Engage in academic researcher/practitioner discussions that dive deeper into mitigation topics and specific programs to discuss existing evidence, key research questions, and evaluation opportunities
  • Reflect on strategies to build strong researcher-practitioner partnerships to evaluate climate efforts
  • Discuss methods to recruit and engage additional state and local partners in evidence building

A detailed agenda is forthcoming. Please contact Erin Graeber for registration information.
