Ankit Kumar
Senior Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Ankit Kumar is a Senior Research Associate working in the Environment, Energy, and Climate Change (E2C2) sector at J-PAL South Asia. He is currently engaged in the PAUSE Demand project, which examines strategies to enable automated demand response for a smarter energy grid in India. Additionally, he is involved in the Civic Action on Air Pollution project, which measures private and public willingness to pay for cleaner air and assesses civic participation in addressing air pollution issues.
Before joining J-PAL, he interned with organisations such as GRAAM, Dasra, the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), and VANI, working across sectors including livelihoods, health, education, and philanthropy.
Ankit holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Banaras Hindu University.
