Sherif Joseph
Research Associate, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Sherif Joseph is a Research Associate at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa, where he works on multiple randomized evaluations focused on financial inclusion and firm growth in Egypt. His current work includes projects on debt relief and the Debtors’ Prison system, interest rate policies in microfinance, and a Digital Marketing project that studies why many firms do not expand their markets through digital advertising technologies.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, he worked as a research assistant to Prof. Adam Osman.
Sherif holds a degree in Economics and Political Science, with a minor in Statistics, from Cairo University.
