Priscila Soares Dos Santos

Priscila Soares is a Senior Research Associate at the Jobs and Opportunity Initiative Brazil (JOI Brasil) at J-PAL LAC. She works on the research funding portfolio focused on labor market policies, collaborating with academic researchers, policymakers, and civil society organizations to promote the use of evidence in public policy.

Before joining J-PAL, she was a senior analyst at Instituto Unibanco, where she led education-related projects and supported data-informed decision-making in partnership with state education departments. She also worked as a consultant for the World Bank in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice for Western and Central Africa, and was a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Priscila is a PhD candidate in applied economics at the University of São Paulo (USP/ESALQ), holds a graduate certificate in data science from the same institution, and has a bachelor's degree in economics from Fluminense Federal University (UFF).
