Research Associate, J-PAL Latinoamérica y el Caribe

Bárbara Aranza Cancino Díaz is a Research Associate at J-PAL LAC, where she works on research projects led by J-PAL affiliates Natalia Rigol and Ben Roth. These projects involve experimental evaluations of microfinance, conducted in collaboration with Fondo Esperanza, as well as other initiatives focused on entrepreneurship in low-income countries and the design and targeting of financial products.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, Bárbara worked as a Research Assistant in applied microeconomics, at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Her research interests encompass information frictions and behavioral economics.

Bárbara holds a BS in economics from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
