Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia

Rhea Daima is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she works on the Frontiers of Graduation: Building Resilience and Sustainable Livelihoods in Urban India (SJY Urban) project based in Patna, Bihar.

Before joining J-PAL, she was part of the Policy Unit at the United Nations Development Programme in India, contributing to research on multidimensional poverty, unemployment, social protection, and gender. Her work combined data analysis with policy engagement to support evidence-based decision-making.

Rhea holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Delhi.
