Mathias Sinning is an associate professor of economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy of the Australian National University (ANU). His research in applied econometrics focuses on issues related to treatment effect estimation and policy evaluation. He is particularly interested in the development and application of innovative methods to study heterogeneous treatment effects. He has implemented RCTs to investigate tax compliance behavior in collaboration with government departments in Australia, Indonesia, and PNG. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Bochum.
