Vatsala Misra Sharma
Senior Policy Manager (Scale Ups), J-PAL South Asia
Vatsala Misra Sharma is a Policy Manager (Scale-ups) at J-PAL South Asia, where she leads the policy and partnerships function for the Every Child Counts Scale Up across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. She also co-leads the ASPIRE Grant at an organisational level and the ASPIRE Fellows Program, overseeing recruitment and L&D of Fellows and developing processes internally to support the Program.
Prior to joining J-PAL South Asia, Vatsala was Curriculum and Research Manager at Top Parent from 2021 to 2022, where she led curriculum strategy and a year-long research project on early childhood development for low-income families. Prior to that, she was a Teach For India Fellow from 2017 to 2019, teaching Grades 9 and 10 in a government school in Dharavi, Mumbai.
Vatsala holds a Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
