James Berry

James Berry is an associate professor of economics at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. His research addresses questions in development and labor economics, primarily through the use of field experiments. He is currently conducting several randomized evaluations to shed light on education production within the household and on decisions to take up and use health products. James earned his PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

James serves on the review boards of J-PAL North America's Health Care Delivery Initiative, Social Policy Research Initiative, State and Local Innovation Initiative, and Addressing Homelessness and Housing Stability portfolio, and as a mentor to J-PAL regional scholars. He has also lectured at J-PAL training events.
