Daniel Björkegren

Daniel Björkegren is an assistant professor of economics at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). He works on digital transformation and applied machine learning, with a focus on developing economies. He works on methods to make algorithms more humane: robust, transparent, and better aligned with societal values.

Daniel is an affiliate of the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development. He received his PhD in economics at Harvard University.
