Training and Education Associate, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean

Beatriz Cardillo Cury is a Training and Education Associate at J-PAL LAC, where she works supporting capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the use and generation of evidence within governments and NGOs, with a focus on Brazil. As a member of the Training and Education vertical, she works on the planning, coordination, and implementation of training courses and education programs, supporting public sector partners in integrating rigorous evidence into policy design and decision-making.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2026, she supported implementation of international development projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) at International Development Group. She also served as a Graduate Scholar at the New York State Assembly and interned at the World Bank Group in the Doing Business Unit, gaining experience in policy analysis and research.

Beatriz holds an MPA from the State University of New York at Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy and an MS in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations from Bocconi University. She also holds a BS in International Politics and Government from Bocconi University and a BA in Public Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
