Ravi R Dodalingannavar
Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Ravi R Dodalingannavar is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, based in Bengaluru, where he leads day-to-day field research implementation for Project Durga, a pilot testing low-cost, norm-based interventions to prevent gender-based harassment on public buses in Bengaluru. As a member of the Research team, he works closely with Durga and BMTC, coordinating formative research, co-design, staff training, on-bus implementation, field teams, data quality, stakeholder coordination, and ethics compliance.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2026, Ravi worked as a Research Associate at the Indian School of Business, where he worked on a randomised controlled trial of a health intervention to improve ASHA performance in Bihar. He also worked with the Institute of Rural Management Anand on a multi-state evaluation of the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan and with the Indian Institute of Plantation Management on trade policy research related to EU and U.S. deforestation regulations and India’s rubber sector.
Ravi holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the Centre for Development Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru.
