Jeiva Hariharan

Jeiva H is a Research Associate at J-PAL, where he investigates how flexible microcredit can affect the financial and mental well-being of small and medium-scale business owners in Coimbatore. He is involved in daily operations, managing survey teams and ensuring data quality checks.

Before joining J-PAL, he built large-scale data pipelines as a Data Engineer, handling complex health insurance datasets. He also served as a Research Assistant with the Social Audit Society of Tamil Nadu, evaluating assets created under MGNREGA. Earlier, at Regenifi Labs, he contributed to refining a WHO tool that conducts cost-benefit analysis on transitioning Indian households from traditional to cleaner cooking fuels.

Jeiva holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIITDM Kancheepuram and a Master's in Public Policy from IIT Delhi, with a specialisation in Science, Technology, and Innovation.
