Siddhant Akhil Jajodia
Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Siddhant Jajodia is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, based in New Delhi, where he works on the Gender Equity Curriculum (Taaron ki Toli) – Scale Up. He supports the scale-up of a gender equity curriculum aimed at reshaping gender attitudes, behaviours, and aspirations among adolescent boys and girls in schools across Punjab, Odisha, and other states in India. The curriculum is based on evidence generated by a randomized controlled trial conducted by J-PAL affiliates for Breakthrough’s Taaron ki Toli campaign in Haryana.
Prior to joining J-PAL, Siddhant was a PhD candidate in Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine, where he is currently on approved leave. His doctoral research focused on algebra, with more recent work on social choice and distributive justice. He is interested in economics and normative and policy-relevant questions that use mathematics and philosophy. He has also worked as a graduate teaching assistant in mathematics and previously served as a Teaching Fellow in philosophy at Ashoka University.
Siddhant holds an MS in Mathematics from the University of California, Irvine and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Ashoka University, with a minor in Economics.
