Sreya Majumder

Sreya Majumder is a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL Global, where she supports J-PAL's work within the Environment, Energy, and Climate Change sector. As a member of the Policy and Communications group, Sreya works on liaising between researchers and practitioners interested in leveraging evaluations to improve evidence-based policymaking. 

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2026, Sreya has previously worked at the World Bank Group, the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (India) and the Centre for Development Economics at the Delhi School of Economics to analyse the allocation of public goods in developing contexts and to scale-up provision through government partnerships.

Sreya holds an MPA from Princeton's School of Public and International Affairs focusing on international development. She has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Research Methods and a BA Honours in Economics from Ashoka University.
