Vaishnavi Janaki Padmanabhan

Vaishnavi is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia. She supports the Nagarika Sakhi Pilot, an evaluation of a women’s civic leadership program in rural India. In this role, she contributes to research design, field implementation, and monitoring and evaluation activities.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Vaishnavi worked as an Academic Associate at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where she supported faculty across multiple research projects. She previously worked as a Research Associate on the Math Games (Every Child Counts) project at J-PAL South Asia, where she led research and M&E responsibilities associated with the NGO cascade model, primarily in Karnataka.

Vaishnavi holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
