Snehal Shirpurkar is a Policy Associate at J-PAL South Asia where they support the Labour Markets and Firms sectors' portfolio of policy engagement activities, helping connect rigorous evidence with policy and practice.

Prior to their current role, Snehal gained research experience working with academics from institutions including IIM Ahmedabad, Ashoka University, and Stockholm University. They also worked as a Summer Intern with J-PAL South Asia's Labour Markets and Firms sectors, where they contributed to research and partnership development efforts.

Snehal graduated summa cum laude with a Master's in Economics from Ashoka University and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and History from the university. Outside of work, they are passionate about basketball and the art of speedsolving Rubik's Cubes.
