Soumya Singhal

Soumya Singhal is a Policy Associate at J-PAL Global in the Firms and Finance sectors. She translates evidence-based research into decision-ready insights, supports sector initiatives, and strengthens partnerships that inform policies to expand economic opportunity.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Soumya worked on research and partnerships in India, leading mixed-methods projects on gender, digital safety, and climate policy while coordinating multi-sector partnerships. She co-founded a youth-led nonprofit focused on menstrual health and policy advocacy, stewarded community-informed solution delivery, and produced policy materials delivered to elected representatives. 

Soumya holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago, where she specialized in International Policy and Development, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delhi.
