Nayan Chandra Veeranki is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where he works on an agriculture and environment project in collaboration with the Government of Telangana to promote sustainable water use in paddy cultivation. Nayan works with partners including governments, NGOs, academics, and others to advance evidence-informed policymaking.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, Nayan worked with organizations including the Foundation for Democratic Reforms and Dasra on policy research and strategic philanthropy initiatives, contributing to projects on healthcare, economic reforms, and social impact.

Nayan holds a Master of Public Policy with a specialization in International Policy and Development from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Hyderabad.
