Margaret Ward

Dr. Margaret Ward is the Associate Director of Finance & Operations at J-PAL Africa. She oversees financial and contract management, as well as the overall human resources function, ensuring a smooth operating environment for the organization.

She previously worked at the University of Cape Town and the University of Stellenbosch in various research management roles. She also spent 16 years at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where she served as Operations Manager for the Chemicals Cluster. 

Margaret holds a PhD in Research Evaluation from the University of Stellenbosch, as well as a B.Soc.Sci. and an MBA from the University of Cape Town.
