Watch David Autor on “The China Shock”

In J-PAL and MIT Economics’ latest “Data, Decisions, Public Policy” talk on May 18, J-PAL affiliate David Autor (MIT) presented his research on the impacts of China’s rise on the United States. The areas of the US hardest hit by related job losses—the South, the Northeast, and the Great Lakes region—have also seen shifts to more divisive politics, Autor said.
