Vatsala Misra Sharma
Senior Policy Manager (Scale Ups), J-PAL South Asia
Vatsala Misra Sharma is a Policy Manager (Scale-ups) at J-PAL South Asia, based in New Delhi, where she leads the policy and partnerships function for the Every Child Counts scale-up across four states. As a member of the Policy, Training, and Communications group, she manages donor relations across ASPIRE, IGI, and DIV Fund and oversees implementation partnerships with Pratham Education Foundation and state governments. She also co-leads ASPIRE Grant Management and the ASPIRE Fellows Program, focusing on financial oversight, governance, portfolio reviews, recruitment, and learning and development.
Prior to joining J-PAL South Asia, Vatsala was a Curriculum and Research Manager at Top Parent, a Central Square Foundation-funded ed-tech start-up, where she led curriculum strategy and a year-long research project on early childhood development for low-income families. Prior to that, she was a Teach For India Fellow, teaching Grades 9 and 10 in a government school in Dharavi, Mumbai.
Vatsala holds a Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
