Las iniciativas de J-PAL concentran financiamiento y otros recursos alrededor de temas prioritarios que requieren investigación relevante para las políticas rigurosa y de forma urgente.

Cada iniciativa identifica vacíos relevantes en la evidencia; financia investigación innovadora; y apoya la interacción en materia de políticas entre investigadores y formuladores de políticas  para compartir resultados y escalarr programas efectivos.
