Alain de Janvry is a Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He has conducted field research in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent, focusing, among other topics, on rural development and technological innovations in agriculture. Alain holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
Alain has served on the review board of J-PAL's Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative.
